Looking for a place with more space, better schools and the kind of lifestyle that puts family first? Warwickshire is packed with reasons to make the move.

Warwickshire is one of the most well-connected parts of the country and offers everything you need for modern family life. Plus, with Warwick and Rugby recently named among the UK’s top 20 places to live, and Leamington Spa regularly voted one of the happiest place in Britain, it’s easy to see why many people are choosing to settle down in Warwickshire.

Keep reading to discover five reasons why our new homes in Warwickshire are the perfect place to build a life.

1. A great place to raise a family

Warwickshire is one of the greenest counties in the Midlands, so is a breath of fresh air for families who want to grow, play and explore the outdoors.

There’s no shortage of good schools here. You’ll find a range of top-rated primary and secondary schools in towns like Kenilworth, Warwick, Southam and Rugby. Further down the line, Warwickshire boasts two exceptional universities: the University of Warwick, consistently ranked among the UK’s top 10, and Coventry University, regarded as the best modern university in the UK.

For everyday family life, many of our houses for sale in Warwickshire are near leisure centres, soft play areas, libraries and local sports clubs, which makes it easy to keep the little ones entertained and older children active and involved.

2. Full of history

Warwickshire is Shakespeare’s County, and it wears its history with pride. You’ll find Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, where you can visit the house where he was born, wander through Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, or see one of his plays performed live at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

Over in Warwick, Warwick Castle offers immersive experiences like jousting tournaments, open-air cinema nights, and seasonal events that bring history to life. And you’ll also find Kenilworth Castle in Kenilworth which has been described as “the finest surviving example of a semi-royal palace of the later Middle Ages.”

3. Scenic countryside and outdoor adventures

If you enjoy getting outside, living in Warwickshire gives you plenty of ways to do just that. There are numerous riverside walks in Stratford, including peaceful trails along the Grand Union Canal, and family-friendly routes in Ryton Pools Country Park.

You can explore Kingsbury Water Park, which has over 15 lakes and is popular for paddleboarding, fishing and picnics, while Hartshill Hayes near Nuneaton is a lovely spot for dog walks and hilltop views.

You don’t have to travel far for bigger day trips either. The Malvern Hills and Cotswolds are both just a short drive away, perfect for a weekend escape or a summer walk with the kids.

4. Easy and reliable transport links

Centrally located in the heart of England, Warwickshire is one of the easiest places to get around. From our new build homes in Rugby and Nuneaton, you can reach London in less than an hour and a half. There are fast services to Birmingham, Coventry, Oxford and Leicester too, which makes commuting or weekend trips straightforward.

By road, the M40, M6 and M1 all run through or close to the county, which means getting across the Midlands or down to the southeast is simple. Birmingham Airport is also nearby, giving you a convenient jump-off point for holidays or business trips abroad.

5. Lively towns with plenty to do

Looking for weekend plans? You’ll find plenty of things to do in Warwickshire. Leamington Spa for example has a fantastic choice of shops, family-run cafés and green spaces like Jephson Gardens, where the kids can run around or feed the ducks while you grab a coffee.

In Rugby, you’ll find a busy town centre which offers popular high-street shops, local family-friendly activities and lots of opportunities to watch a rugby game or two.

Then there’s Stratford-upon-Avon. It has the Shakespeare link, of course, but there are plenty of other things to discover. You can take a boat along the River Avon, have a picnic in the Bancroft Gardens, or go for Sunday lunch at one of the riverside pubs, like The Boathouse.
