What is the NHQB?

The New Homes Quality Board (NHQB) is an independent organisation dedicated to improving the build quality of new build homes and enhancing customer service from housing developers, such as Jelson Homes.

For homeowners and buyers, the NHQB plays a vital role in supporting higher standards in new build properties. They provide essential guidance on service standards and can assist with complaint referrals to the New Homes Ombudsman Service (NHOS) if required.

What is the NHOS?

The New Homes Ombudsman Service (NHOS) is a free and independent organisation designed to resolve disputes between homeowners and developers. If you’ve encountered problems with your new build home or experienced unresolved issues with a developer, the NHOS is here to help.

By reviewing all available evidence, the NHOS ensures fair outcomes for both homeowners and developers, allowing all parties to move forward confidently.
