Little hands get growing with Jelson garden donation
Leicester-based Jelson Homes is pleased to have marked the end of National Gardening Week with a donation of outdoor goodies to a local Hinckley-based school in a bid to get them growing this spring.
Children from Richmond Primary School in Hinckley were the lucky recipients of a variety of planters, hanging baskets and flower seeds from the housebuilder, which will now be added to the existing school garden. The challenge to begin growing starts immediately with Jelson paying a return visit to the school in July to judge how well the children have done with tending to the flowers.
Mr Pallet, teacher from Richmond Primary School, said: “We would like to thank Jelson for the kind donation of garden equipment and flower seeds which will no doubt go a long way in helping children to nurture their green fingers this season. Without organisations like Jelson the children would certainly miss out activities like this in the great outdoors.”
Jackie Woodward, sales manager for Jelson Homes, comments: “We try to give back as much as possible in the communities in which we build and the donation of garden items and seeds, we hope, will benefit the children and help them to appreciate different varieties of flowers.”
