Stay safe this Bonfire Night
Don’t you just love this time of year? The smell of a bonfires everywhere, hot chocolate, hot dogs and vibrant firework colours filling our dark skies. Lovely!
Whether you’re heading out to an organised bonfire and firework display, or hosting your own, do take a few moments to read through our top tips to stay as safe as houses this year!
Dos:
Do stand far away from bonfire and fireworks
Do supervise the use sparklers at all times
Do keep pets indoors at all times during Bonfire Night
Do check the bonfire before it is lit for hiding animals such as hedgehogs
Do keep a bucket of water ready for emergencies
Don’t:
Don’t go near a firework once it has been lit
Don’t go near a firework once it has been gone off
Don’t give sparklers to those under the age of five
Don’t keep a bonfire in front of trees
Don’t light fireworks after 11pm as it is illegal
